Image Quality

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V is capable of producing images with excellent color accuracy, and its high-dynamic range mode works very well in balancing the light and dark areas of a scene; however, the true strength of the HX5V lies in low-light photography. The HX5V can deliver sharp images with very low noise level, even up to ISO 3,200. You can get even better-quality images by utilizing the camera’s hand-held twilight mode when shooting in low lighting conditions. Overall, the HX5V’s image quality is among the best in its class.

Conclusion

There is no doubt that the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V deserves to be crowned as the best compact camera of 2010. It offers a lens with a versatile focal length range, lots of useful extra features that you won’t get from the competition, fast shooting performance, and most importantly, very good low-light photo quality in a compact body. If you are looking for a compact digital camera, which has almost everything, the HX5V is really worth considering.
