Conclusion
With a resolution far above anything else offered in a full-frame digital SLR camera, an attention to detail that would satisfy the needs of any professional photographer, and a price tag that is thousands of dollars more, even compared to its nearest competitor, the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III continues to push the limits of digital photography. The 1Ds Mark III is an excellent professional digital SLR camera in every aspect. It may have a lot of similarities with the far cheaper Canon EOS-1D Mark III, but if you are looking for resolution, nothing can beat the 1Ds Mark III. From here the only way to get more resolution is to go medium format cameras, which will be a lot more expensive. Price is indeed the only weakness of the 1Ds Mark III, but the counter argument to this is that the 1Ds Mark III is a serious tool for professionals, not a plaything for photo hobbyist.
