Conclusion
With the Olympus PEN E-P2, Olympus has really done a very good job in merging the creative flexibility of a digital SLR camera with the convenience and ease-of-use of a point-and-shoot digital camera – something that camera manufacturers have attempted, several times, over the past fifty years. It can be said that Olympus has managed to fit most of the company’s excellent E-620 digital SLR camera into a comparatively small and beautifully styled metal case. In terms of performance, the E-P2 is indeed not as fast as a digital SLR camera yet; however, we don’t think that it is a deal-breaker. The only thing we could complain about is the E-P2’s price tag – it costs more than most entry-level digital SLR cameras on the market.
