Polaroid PoGo CZA-10011 instant mobile printer.

Introduction

Polaroid has invented the instant photography long before any photographer had any idea regarding digital photography. Polaroid cameras were truly phenomenal products at their time. It was really an interesting experience to get a photo-print in hand, only 1 minute after shooting an image. Now Polaroid tries to recreate that “Polaroid experience” by introducing the Polaroid PoGo CZA-10011 instant mobile printer, an ultra-portable photo printer that fits into any pocket and prints photos wirelessly.

How does the Polaroid PoGo CZA-10011 work? Just carry around the PoGo with you, then anytime you take an image using a PictBridge compatible digital camera, a cell phone camera, or any gadget that can take images and has a Bluetooth connection, you can then connect it wirelessly to your PoGo or connect it to the built-in USB slot and then let your PoGo print a 2” x 3” borderless photo-print of your image in less than 1 minute. Moreover, you can peel off the layer covering the sticky back of the photo-print, and then attach your photo to any handy surface. Truly a Polaroid experience!

The Polaroid PoGo CZA-10011 can print up to 14 photos in a single charge. It measures only 4.7” x 2.8” x 0.9” and weighs only 8 ounces including the rechargeable battery. The ultra-portable dimensions can be achieved thanks to the use of Polaroid’s ZINK technology, which was first introduced in year 2007 and later shown again at the 2011 CES. ZINK technology stands for Zero Ink technology, as the name suggests, this technology allows the PoGo to print without any ink. The Polaroid photo paper used by the PoGo already contains 100 billion cyan, magenta, and yellow dye crystals that are activated by 200 million heat pulses during the 30-second warming process. Moreover, the Polaroid photo paper also includes a clear polymer overcoat that should protect the image and makes the photo-prints feel more like flexible plastic than traditional photo paper.
